Siemens Stiftung

Launched in 2012, the Siemens Stiftung programme aims to help science teachers all over the world. It is unique in that it is geared to spark interest from learners as early as 4 years of age all the way through to 18 years of age. The Siemens Stiftung programme provides both teachers and learners with all the latest equipment but also introduces both parties to the latest teaching methods.

The Siemens Stiftung Experimento offers:

•    Approximately 100 experiments for learners aged 4-7 (Experimento | 4+), 8-12 (Experimento | 8+)     and 10-18 (Experimento | 10+) with the topics of energy, environment and health.
•    Detailed instructions and additional teaching materials in digital form for conducting the experiments
•    Continuing education courses for teachers and instructors about how to use the experiments in   practice.
•    Three experiment kits including experiment materials for the respective age groups

The key factor in the effective spread of Experimento is the co-operation with recognised local education partners, this due to the challenges being faced in the country as well as the educational requirements. This is the reason why Siemens Stiftung is working with the Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg (DSJ) to build up its Science Competence Centre.
