Film Workshop

Recently we attended a lecture on the classic formula for Hollywood films. We were taught about formal plot structure, classic character development and symbolic plot elements using the film ‚Hotel Rwanda‘.

This was not like an ordinary lesson. We had a guest speaker, who engaged with us and brought a slide show, offering a change from ordinary schooling. I really enjoyed this because I take quite an interest in film.

Overall this was an enjoyable and rewarding experience and I feel future Grade 11s should attend this workshop, not only for future exams, but for the benefit it offers to everyday film viewing.
