On Thursday, 16 January 2025, the time had finally come – the new first graders had their first day of school at the DSJ. After a festive procession into the Aula, they were allowed to take their seats as guests of honour in the front rows. The Grade 4 learners had prepared a particularly funny play, ‘Die grünen Quatschlinge’. With lively songs and great acting talent, they delighted both young and old. This was followed by the highlight for our newest learner: The handing over of the ‘Zuckertüten’. These are lovingly crafted every year by the former Grade 4 learners and then filled by the teachers. As tradition demands, class and individual photos were taken in front of the historic school bell. And the weather was also perfect. To conclude the successful celebration, parents and children gathered for a picnic on the Primary School playground.
