10 years of PASCH schools – the DSJ celebrates!

Bright sunshine, bright student faces – this is how to celebrate. In 2008, today’s Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier gave the starting signal for PASCH (“Schools: Partners of the Future”) in order to arouse interest and enthusiasm for Germany, motivate young people to learn German and create a worldwide network of PASCH schools. Within 10 years a network of more than 2000 PASCH schools in 120 countries has developed.

The DSJ has also been one of these schools since the beginning. In order to celebrate the 10th anniversary, the pupils who learn German had the opportunity to fly balloons in the German colours. One postcard per class was also sent on the balloon trip. We are curious to see which finders will contact us.

Many thanks for their support to the German Embassy in Pretoria in the person of Ms. Vanselow and Ms. Altenfeld, to Mr. Spanaus from the Zentralstelle für das Auslandsschulwesen and to all helpers at the DSJ!
